Events

Shortly after joining Zscaler, I was tasked with conceptualizing the visual identity for their yearly global conference, Zenith Live. In addition to this large event, Zscaler had a presence at dozens of conferences around the world needing a strong brand expression executed quickly and accurately.

After a briefing from the Creative Director, I collaborated with a Senior Designer to come up with over a dozen mood boards of potential visual concepts. We received the blessing from the Creative Director on two of my concepts and one from the Senior Designer. We refined and mocked up the concepts and I created a presentation along with a proposed messaging architecture. Ultimately we were asked to combine two of the concepts by the Head of Brand—a 3D representation of the Zscaler brand halftone, coming to life and forming a torus as a metaphor for zero trust security, combined with double-exposure lifestyle imagery representing key industries secured by Zscaler technology. This final version was quickly approved by the CMO and global events team. I created the visual guidelines and oversaw the final graphics package provided to our event partner agency, as well as the execution of digital assets for the event created in-house.

Outside of Zenith Live, I provided art direction and design of the visual identity for several other events from initial concept through presentation and execution of the final print-ready files, collateral, and social media assets.
